Shayna was born and raised in New York and fled to Texas a decade ago to escape the snow. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Strategic Communication and is currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Public Affairs part-time at the University of Texas at Austin’s renowned LBJ School of Public Affairs. 

As the Managing Director in Austin, Shayna has the privilege of building and scaling Housing Connector’s impact in the fifth largest city in Texas. Austin prides itself on using tech-based and community-based solutions to address the city’s challenges and Shayna is excited to bring Housing Connector’s innovative model to her neighbors. 

When she’s not thinking about how to make the world a slightly better place, Shayna can be found drinking coffee on the couch with her pets, wandering around BookPeople with too many books in her hands, or out for a run around Town Lake.
