A native of Temple, TX, DeAundra earned her Bachelor's degree in Human Development and Family Science from the University of North Texas. She started her career as an advocate for domestic violence survivors before relocating to Austin in 2020. Immersing herself in the city's homeless response system, she discovered a deep passion for the intersection of housing and social services.

In her role at Housing Connector, DeAundra is dedicated to resolving tenancy challenges with a balance of empathy and strategy, ensuring both tenants and property partners receive the support they need. Known for her curiosity, tenacity, and ability to prioritize everyone's best interests, she works to develop sustainable housing solutions. She also enjoys exploring innovative ways to leverage technology in streamlining housing processes and improving accessibility for underserved communities.

Outside of work, DeAundra is an avid reader and is a writer herself. She also loves video gaming, music, and attending concerts and events, always looking for new ways to engage with Austin's vibrant culture. She continues to expand her ever-growing collection of over 200 books—some of which she has definitely read... probably.
